How to Check Codex Usage Limits and Reset Time

Your own Codex client or account is the source of truth for remaining allowance and recovery time. This website cannot read your account.

Check Codex CLI usage

In an interactive Codex CLI session, enter /status. Review every limit row the command returns, including its remaining amount and recovery time. A short-window allowance and a weekly allowance can recover at different times.

If a command is unavailable or its output differs from an older screenshot, use the information shown by your installed version. Interface labels and available windows can change.

Check other Codex surfaces

In the Codex app or web experience, open the account usage or analytics view available to you. Look for the restriction that is actually blocking work and the recovery time attached to that restriction.

Do not treat a public reset announcement as your personal balance. An extra global reset, a stored reset grant and your normal usage-window recovery are separate events.

Copy the displayed recovery time

If a reset date and time is shown, note its timezone and enter that exact value in the personal timer. Do not calculate a guaranteed reset by adding five hours or seven days to a guessed starting point.

If no recovery time is displayed, this site cannot discover one for you. Leave the timer unset and check your account again later instead of using an invented date.

Keep the reminder private

Your personal timer stays in local browser storage. A calendar export creates an event you can import into your calendar application. The event includes a 15-minute warning; actual delivery depends on your calendar settings.

The page alarm requires notification permission and an open page. Closing the page stops this local alarm. It is not a background global-reset subscription.
