CODEX RESET WIKI

Codex Usage Limits: Windows, Remaining Quota and Next Steps

A subscription allowance is not a guaranteed number of identical tasks. Workload and the limits shown by your account matter.

Published estimates are not fixed task counts

OpenAI publishes usage estimates by plan and model. The current pricing documentation says that local messages and cloud chats share the plan allowance, and weekly limits may also apply. Check the official pricing page for current figures.

This site does not publish a guessed weekly cap. If OpenAI does not document a value, we leave it unknown.

Use your own reset information

Personal recovery times must come from your account or client. A full short-window allowance does not, by itself, establish that every other restriction has cleared. Read the rows your actual client reports.

An extra global reset is a separate action. A public announcement can apply to a particular audience and may take time to propagate.

When you reach a limit

Check which restriction is blocking new work and whether a recovery time is shown. Save the exact time in your local countdown if available.

Review options available in your account and the official pricing documentation. Paid credits, different models or other billing modes may have different costs and feature trade-offs; availability is account-specific.

Never provide your account password or session cookies to a third-party reset tracker. This site does not redeem resets or purchase credits for you.
